This rigorous course*, managed by Carlo Cavagna, is an opportunity to get away from the distractions of life in LA—the studios clamoring for your scripts, the nonstop pitching and networking, and the significant others saying “You're not working, you're just staring at the screen.” In this amazing villa near Cortona, Italy, you'll be able to focus in a way that just isn't possible at home.
Yes, the workshop will be intense. Yes, you'll be writing like a Red Bull junkie. But you'll be staying in a well equipped stone villa miles away from a big city. You'll enjoy delicious Italian country cooking every day.
You'll have a three-hour a day seminar and daily office hours for major script issues.
You'll also find plenty of private places in and around the villa to write. Let us suggest the rooftop table from which you can see 25 miles of Tuscan countryside, or maybe you'd prefer poolside where you can keep your tan up while revising your scenes between laps.
Should you bring your significant other? The program is open only to students, but it may be possible to accommodate one or two guests for a few days at a time. Discuss it with us beforehand, and make sure your partner is aware that most of your spare time will be spent writing.
